Video recording of the latest announcements at FigJam: “Hear from Rogie, Bersabel, and Emily as they introduce Templates, new shapes, code blocks, open sessions, plugins, widgetsand new pricing! We’ll also feature live demos of widgets from our partners at Donut, Stark, and CoderPad; watch to learn how you can make FigJam the home for your brainstorms.“
One of the many improvements that Figma ships unannounced. Looks really cool!
Hot 🥵 .. Have you seen the new transition when opening a file on the @figmadesign community ? And also the new layout of the pages. Kudos to @tonigemayel and all the team who manage/build the community space. pic.twitter.com/rocBiaS6CQ

“Previously the LIBRARY_PUBLISHED webhook only got triggered when components were updated. Style updates now also trigger this, giving users more accurate insights into their library updates.” See more on how to use Figma’s webhooks.
A recap of everything that got shipped in October: new FigJam capabilities (see below), Interactive Components, and Branching. A busy month after a multi-year effort!
Branching is now available to teams on the Organization plan. It was announced in April at Config 2021, but according to Rasmus Andersson, it’s been in the making for 5 years. The lack of branches was the main issue when my team switched from Sketch and Abstract to Figma in 2018, so I hope it will become available on the Professional plan one day.
You can now mix different text sizes in the same text box, sticky note, or shape.
New plus (+) and minus (-) buttons to make zooming in and out even easier in FigJam.
A quick summary of all the recent updates to Figma and FigJam.
You can now adjust the spacing between listed items in the type details panel. Finally! Such a small but important change — I had to imitate this with an Auto Layout in the past.
Figma is now ready for iPhone 13 release.
Figma improved copy and paste to make it more consistent and predictable. Now you can replace selected objects with another object that you’ve copied to your clipboard (⇧⌥⌘V or Shift-Ctrl-Alt‑V), paste an object into multiple frames or groups simultaneously, and paste at the cursor location. To see how it all works, check out a playground file. (Figma launched this feature with a different shortcut, but changed it after listening to the community feedback.)
Miguel is demonstrating the new copy and paste capabilities.
New keyboard shortcuts to make backward and forward actions easier in FigJam. Bring forward: ⌘-]
or Ctrl-]
, bring to front: ]
, send backward: ⌘-[
or Ctrl-[
, send to back: [
.
Students and Educators using the Education plan can now invite others to their teams and start collaborating immediately. Collaborators have a 7‑day grace period to verify their education status. See also a video on how to set up your Figma Education plan.
People now can be @mentioned in Community comments. FigJam is improved on an iPad (hey, maybe Figma is next?). Style picker lets you select what libraries are enabled. And a few more improvements for admins of Organizations and Teams.
A recap of the updates to Figma and FigJam that were shipped last month.
You can press Shift while clicking on individual publishing checkboxes to select ranges. You’re now able to open library files from the Libraries modal.
But wait, there's more! Today we’re also releasing a faster way to build more powerful plugins.

With plugin parameters you can use quick actions to accept user input, eliminating the need to create your own UI.
