Speaking of aligning layers, individual vector nodes can also be aligned or evenly distributed.
Luis with a nifty list of suggested emojis to indicate different kinds of component properties.
I've been going deep on component properties recently, and found using emojis in the prop names really helps understand their purpose

The recording of Miggi’s workshop livestream on using vector tools in Figma.
“Navigate FigJam files without taking your hands off your keyboard by using the Tab key to jump between objects on the FigJam canvas, like sections, shapes, and stickies. You can also tab between text nodes while editing text to rapidly make edits across your file. Hold Shift + Tab to tab back in the reverse direction.”
Admins now can select all users in the Members table in the admin console. New customers in Japan, Europe, UK, and Canada who require invoicing can now purchase an Organization or Enterprise plan in the local currency or USD.
One-click export of Figma prototypes and animations to GIF, WebM, or MP4.
“The plugin Shape Move is specifically designed to allow you to create more dynamic and engaging animations within designs by animating the anchor points of vector shapes. An anchor point is a fixed point on a graphic object that serves as a reference for scaling, rotating, and positioning. You are able to customize the timing and easing of the animations, as well as the duration and delay of each animation.” See an impressive demo video.
A simple FigJam widget to easily visualize upcoming events and deadlines from the Figma team.
A pack from Double Glitch with a collection of pre-made text effects that you can apply to your designs with just a few clicks. Reminds me of the good ol’ days of downloadable Photoshop actions. While the pack is commercial, I suggest checking out a free demo in the Community and watching a screencast.
One more video by Christine, this time about components — covering everything from simple shortcuts to powerful plugins. Some of the topics include selecting matching layers across all variants, reviewing library updates, linking Figma components to a code base, using the EightShapes Specs plugin, moving components between files, swapping libraries, and using real data in instances.
Christine Vallaure shares a few practical prototyping techniques and advanced tips & tricks. They include using Auto Layout with Smart Animate, stateful transitions with sections, nesting prototypes, interactive components, and more. This video is also available as an article.

Developer Advocate Jake and Designer Advocate Lauren have an insightful conversation about strengthening relationships between designers and developers. I love Jake’s point that trust is essential and we don’t need to understand every part of each other’s work to collaborate effectively. (Let’s hope Figma Detached is a new series, as I want more!)

Tutorial Tim shows how the “Simplify all Instances” feature reduces an overwhelming visual overload in the Properties panel.
So many great ways to warm up the room in replies to Femke. I’d love to try This or That, play two truths and a lie, draw blind contour portraits, or look for common ground with my team.
What are your favourite icrebreakers or games in Figjam to help warm up the room?
