Alex from Doist shared his feelings about trying Figma, and Rafa from Netlify pointed to some specific problems in its interface. My favorite part — Koen Bok from Framer showed up in replies to remind how much Sketch team raised the bar for the design tools.

Framer Web team shows how to move from visual design to interactive prototyping in minutes, thanks to their recently announced Figma importer.
Zeplin redesigned their Figma plugin, improving export experience and solving some of the performance issues.
“Our converter allows you to open XD designs directly in Figma. All elements get converted 1:1.”
Thanks to Figma’s commitment to open web, Framer X just introduced Figma importer. This is great news for people interested in interaction design and advanced prototyping.
Ultimately she went with InVision Studio, but her comparison and experience of using them is really interesting.

Storybook is an open-source tool for developing UI components in isolation for React, Vue, and Angular. This article explores some of the Storybook addons for design. The Figma addon depicts the component design next to the implementation. Design changes will automatically be reflected in Storybook.
Figma is called “Tool of the Year” by this report. It’s not specifically about Figma but highlights some important trends in our industry related to it, like the death of design files and baked-in collaboration.
